Published by Cartes Murales Scolaires, Cooperation Pedagogique, Nalliers (Vienne), this double-sided French school map poster presents two large-format geographic and economic maps: one of the Etats-Unis (USA) and one of the U.R.S.S. (Union des Republiques Socialistes Sovietiques). Produced for classroom wall display during the Cold War era, this French school map poster belongs to a well-documented series of pedagogical wall charts used across French primary and secondary schools from the 1950s through the 1970s.

Each side is printed in a two-color scheme of terracotta-red and blue on an off-white card stock. The USA side shows relief shading, major rivers including the Mississippi and Missouri, city markers with population keys, and regional economic annotations in French such as Boeuf, Moutons, Petrole, Coton, Houille, and Fruits. The USSR side covers the full Soviet territory from the Baltic to Vladivostok, labeling cities including Moscow, Leningrad, Kharkov, Bakou, and Stalingrad, alongside resources such as Fourrures, Charbon, Mines d or, and Fer. Both maps include elevation legends and scale information. The USA map carries a scale of 1/6,000,000 and the USSR map 1/10,000,000. Minor wear is present including a small tear along the bottom edge of the USA side, visible in photos. Overall condition is good for age.

The poster measures approximately 90cm x 75cm / 35.4" x 29.5". It is a rigid single-sheet format without rod or hanging mechanism visible in the photos.
