French Flour Sack
This authentic French flour sack originates from the Minoterie L. Montesuis mill located in Saint-Pierre-en-Faucigny in the Haute-Savoie region. Dated 1969, this genuine linen grain bag represents the agricultural heritage of mid-century French provincial milling operations.
The natural linen fabric displays aged patina with authentic wear consistent with its working history. Bold black typography features the mill name "L. Montesuis" in script lettering, creating contrast against the warm beige linen ground. Industrial printing includes full provenance markings identifying its Haute-Savoie origins, with "Hte Savoie" clearly visible beneath the location details.
This substantial French flour sack measures 120cm x 69cm (47.25" x 27"). The vintage condition shows natural aging, creasing, and gentle weathering typical of used grain sacks. Original stitched seams and robust linen construction demonstrate the durability required for commercial milling operations of the period.
Suitable for rustic French country decor displays or as authentic textile collectibles representing regional French agricultural history.
