French Enamel Street Sign
This authentic vintage French enamel street sign represents municipal signage from mid-20th century France. Manufactured by JAPY, a respected French sign company, between 1930-1950, this piece displays "RUE DE LA TOUR DE JONCQUET" in traditional street sign format.
The sign features cobalt blue enamel finish on metal construction with crisp white lettering characteristic of French municipal signage. The traditional arched shape and mounting holes in each corner reflect standard French street sign design of this period. JAPY's manufacturing quality is evident in the well-preserved enameling technique.
Measuring 40cm x 30cm (15.7" x 11.8"), this street plaque shows good condition appropriate for its age with natural patina from decades of use. The white lettering remains clear and legible against the deep blue background, displaying the durability of vintage enamel construction.
This collectible sign offers authentic French character for interior decoration or serves as a historic example of French street signage for collectors of municipal artifacts and vintage advertising.
