Published by Editions Rossignol of Montmorillon (Vienne), this double-sided French educational map poster dates from the mid-20th century and was produced for classroom use in French primary schools. One side displays map no. 20, titled Cotes de la Mediterranee, while the reverse carries map no. 19, Cote de l'Atlantique. Rossignol was one of the leading French publishers of school wall charts, and examples like this French educational map poster are increasingly sought after as vintage graphic documents.

Both maps are printed in a flat, graphic style typical of post-war French pedagogical materials. The Mediterranean side shows the southern French coastline from the Spanish border to the Italian frontier, including Marseille, Toulon, Nice, Monaco, and the island of Corsica, with an inset detail of the Port de Marseille. Terrain is rendered in amber, ochre, and brown tones indicating altitude zones, while rivers, canals, and hydro-electric stations are clearly marked. The Atlantic side covers the western coast from Brittany south to the Pyrenees, showing major estuaries including the Gironde, cities such as Nantes, Bordeaux, La Rochelle, and Bayonne, with coastal relief and depth contours for the Atlantic shelf. A legend on each side explains the cartographic symbols. The printing is clean with vivid, well-preserved colors throughout.

The poster measures approximately 90cm x 75cm / 35.4" x 29.5". It is printed on thick paper stock typical of school wall charts of the period and appears in good condition with light handling wear consistent with former classroom use.
