Ruinart Champagne Ice Bucket Bowl Inox Guy Degrenne Aphrodite French 07102617

Ruinart champagne ice bucket

A handsome Ruinart champagne ice bucket bowl in mirror-polished inox 18-10 stainless steel, made in France by Guy Degrenne under their Aphrodite line -- the maker's stamp is clearly legible on the underside. The hemispherical bowl rises from a classic round pedestal foot, a silhouette long favored in French hotel service and at the grandes maisons de Champagne for presenting bottles tableside with quiet elegance.

The exterior carries the full Ruinart livery: the gothic "Ruinart" logotype, the crowned 1729 crest, and the phrase "Plus Ancienne Maison de Champagne" -- a reference to Ruinart's standing as the oldest established Champagne house, founded in Reims in that year. The interior bowl is deep enough to hold a standard bottle well surrounded by ice. The high-polish finish reflects light beautifully, making it equally at home on a bar cart, a sideboard or a well-set dining table. Guy Degrenne, the Normandy-based silversmith, produced professional-grade stainless hollowware of this caliber primarily from the 1960s through the 1990s.

Condition and patina consistent with age. Light surface scratching visible on the outer bowl, as expected from normal use; the polish and form remain fully intact.

Approx. 14 in wide x 8 in high (36 x 21 cm).
