A generously proportioned French champagne ice bucket bowl -- known in France as a vasque a champagne -- bearing the branded identity of Champagne Jacquart, the well-regarded Reims house founded in 1962. Formed in stainless steel with a two-tone finish, the exterior carries a high mirror polish while the deep interior bowl is brushed to a softer sheen. The piece rests on a substantial turned pedestal base, giving it the commanding presence that made the vasque format a staple of French restaurant service and grand celebrations alike.
The exterior is engraved on one face with the clean typographic logotype "CHAMPAGNE JACQUART / Reims France" in bold serif lettering, and on the opposite face with the house's classic equestrian medallion. Large enough to chill multiple bottles at once, this is the kind of piece that earns a permanent place on a bar cart, a sideboard or a summer terrace table rather than being tucked away after a single evening. It has real visual weight and draws the eye even when empty.
Condition and patina consistent with age. Light surface wear to the brushed interior consistent with normal use; the mirror exterior and pedestal retain a strong polish.
Approx. 16.1 in diameter x 9.6 in to 12.0 in high (41 cm diameter x 24.5 cm to 30.5 cm high).
