A French champagne punch bowl by Guy Degrenne, from the Aphrodite line, made in 18-10 stainless steel -- the same high-grade inox the brand has used since the 1960s to supply French hotel dining rooms and serious home entertainers alike. The set consists of two pieces: the deep, mirror-polished pedestal bowl and a removable chrome wire rack that fits over the rim and holds individual flute stems on a ring of J-shaped hooks -- referred to in France as a porte-flutes. The bowl rests on a stepped, domed foot that gives it a confident, classical silhouette on a buffet table or sideboard.

The Aphrodite name and the four-leaf Guy Degrenne logo are cleanly engraved on the underside, along with the Inox 18-10 designation, confirming the alloy grade. The interior is polished to a true mirror finish that catches the light; the exterior carries a subtler brushed-to-satin surface.
