French Vintage Economic Map Poster

A double-sided French vintage economic map poster produced by Cooperation Pedagogique Nalliers (Vienne), designed for classroom use in French schools. One side presents Europe Economique, the other Afrique Economique. Both maps display trade routes, export and import flows, natural resources, population density zones, and major commercial ports across their respective continents. This type of French vintage economic map poster was standard issue in French secondary education during the mid-twentieth century.

The Europe side covers the continent from Iceland to the Caucasus, marking cities including Londres, Berlin, Moscou, and Leningrad, with annotated trade goods such as charbon, petrole, fer, and cereales. Red arrows indicate import flows, black arrows exports. The Africa side covers the full continent including Madagascar, noting resources such as arachides, cacao, uranium, or, and diamants, with major ports including Casablanca, Alexandrie, Lagos, Dakar, and le Cap. Both maps use a graduated pink and rose shading system to indicate population density, with a detailed legend. Printing is in blue, red, and black on cream stock. The paper shows age-consistent toning and light wear consistent with former classroom use. No significant tears or losses are visible in the photos.

The poster measures approximately 90cm x 75cm / 35.4" x 29.5" as stated by the seller. The Europe map is printed at a scale of 1/6,000,000 and the Africa map at 1/11,000,000. The format is a single large sheet, printed on both sides, intended for wall display.
