The distinctive silhouette features two curved shoulders rising from the main body and converging into a narrow, flat handle with a small hanging hole drilled through the top. This form is characteristic of French provincial kitchen boards produced during the early to mid 20th century, when such pieces were made to last and used daily in farmhouse kitchens across rural France.

The surface carries extensive knife marks accumulated through decades of active use, concentrated toward the center of the board where chopping was most frequent. The wood has developed a warm, pale honey tone across the face, with slightly darker patches near the handle where hands and moisture have contacted the grain over time.
