A Mumm Cordon Rouge Champagne Ice Bucket from the French house of G.H. Mumm and Co., based in Reims, France. This is a classic restaurant and hotel service piece, the type issued by champagne houses to brasseries, grand cafes and dining rooms throughout France from the mid-twentieth century. The label reads "G.H. Mumm and Co., Ste Vinicole de Champagne Succe., Reims, France" alongside the iconic Cordon Rouge Brut Champagne diagonal red sash branding, which dates the design to the post-war promotional era.

The bucket is fabricated in spun aluminium, a material widely used for French hotel and restaurant serviceware from the 1950s onward. The cylindrical body features a slightly tapered form, wider at the rim than the base, with three incised horizontal grooves running around both the upper and lower sections of the exterior. Two ring handles are mounted on opposing sides via knob-style riveted fittings, typical of French bistro ice bucket construction. The surface shows age-appropriate patina and scattered light scratches consistent with years of service use. The original paper label is intact and well-preserved, displaying the full Cordon Rouge Brut livery in red, white and gold.
