French Tauromachia Trophy
This vintage French tauromachia trophy originates from the Camargue region of France, created in 1944 to honor a manade owner and the celebrated bulls of his breeding operation. The shield-shaped wooden plaque represents the authentic culture of French bull breeding and corrida traditions.
The dark wood mounting displays a black and white photograph of the manadier prominently positioned alongside multiple engraved copper nameplates listing the names of famous bulls from this historic manade. A traditional rosette ribbon in red, blue and yellow adds ceremonial significance to the composition. The brass plates show authentic patina consistent with their age and heritage.
Measuring 63cm x 43cm (24.75" x 17"), this French tauromachia trophy remains in good vintage condition with natural aging on the copper plates and wood mounting. The engraved nameplates clearly display individual bull names that participated in corrida events, preserving decades of manade history.
This authentic piece serves as compelling wall decor for collectors of French antiques, bullfighting memorabilia, or regional cultural artifacts from the Camargue. The historical documentation and photographic elements make it a significant example of French tauromachia heritage.
