A set of five French silver plated oval trays produced by Ercuis, one of France's most established silverplate manufacturers. These serving pieces belong to a classic ravier or individual serving tray format widely used in French hotel and restaurant service throughout the mid-20th century. Each French silver plated oval tray features the restrained, functional profile associated with professional catering tableware from this period.

Each tray is oval in form with a stepped rim and a recessed central well defined by a single raised ridge — a design typical of Ercuis commercial silverplate production. The surface finish is standard hotel-grade silver plate over a white metal base. Visible across all five pieces are surface scratches, light tarnishing, and areas where the silver plating has worn through, particularly along the inner ridge and rim zones. One tray shows what appears to be a faint engraved initial. These signs of use are consistent with professional service ware that has seen regular handling. No cracks, dents, or structural damage are apparent. The tray interiors retain a degree of reflectivity despite the patina.

Each tray measures approximately 27cm x 18cm / 10.6" x 7.1". The set consists of five pieces, all of matching form and near-identical size. Minor variation in surface wear exists between individual trays.
