Ruinart Champagne Ice Bucket

Commissioned as promotional barware by the prestigious Ruinart Champagne house, this Ruinart Champagne Ice Bucket is a classic example of French restaurant-grade silver plate from the mid-to-late 20th century. The Ruinart crest and name are printed directly onto the body in black, consistent with pieces made for hotel and restaurant service during that period.

The bucket is formed in silver-plated metal with a flared trumpet rim and a gently tapered body, widening toward the top in the standard champagne cooler profile. Two brass ring handles are mounted on either side via polished brass boss fittings, providing a warm gold-tone contrast against the silver surface. The exterior shows the swirling reflection pattern typical of hand-polished silver plate. The base carries a stamped maker's mark, partially legible, referencing a French metalworks manufacturer -- consistent with French hotel silver production. The interior and underside show age-appropriate wear including light scratching and patina on the brass fittings, honest signs of use in a professional setting.

The bucket measures approximately 19cm in height / 7.5", with an estimated diameter at the rim of approximately 20cm / 7.9". These dimensions are suitable for a standard champagne bottle with ice.
