French Glass Cloche Dome

A classic French glass cloche dome of the type widely used in French households and markets for covering cheese, pastries, and decorative displays. Hand-blown in clear glass with a slight green tint characteristic of traditional French glassmaking, this French glass cloche dome retains the rounded bell form and solid glass knob handle that define the style.

The cloche is formed from free-blown glass, resulting in a gently irregular profile with subtle surface variations and minor tool marks visible at the knob junction -- consistent with hand production rather than industrial moulding. The glass has a faint warm green cast, most visible at the thicker upper section near the knob. The rim is ground flat and even, allowing it to sit flush on a flat surface. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible in the photos. The knob shows some internal air bubbles typical of hand-blown glass.

The seller states dimensions of 22.5cm x 28cm (8.9" diameter x 11.0" height). The base opening measures approximately 22.5cm (8.9") in diameter, providing ample space to cover a standard cheese round, a small plant, or a decorative object. The glass walls are of moderate thickness, adding stability.
