A French glass cloche dome of the type used across French households and patisseries to cover cheese, cakes, or charcuterie on a serving board or slate. The form is classic to French domestic glassware production, with a generous rounded profile that has been in continuous use from the late 19th century onward. This French glass cloche dome sits directly on a flat surface without a base plate, functioning as a standalone cover.

The cloche is pressed or mold-blown in clear glass and features pronounced vertical ribbing running from the fluted ball finial at the crown down to the wide, slightly flared rim at the base. The ribbing is uniform and crisp, consistent with industrial French glassware production rather than hand-cut crystal.
