French Enamel Canisters
This authentic set of four French enamel canisters represents traditional French bistro storage from the early 1900s. These vintage kitchen containers showcase the craftsmanship of French domestic enamelware, bringing authentic French culinary culture to modern collectors.
Each canister displays a white enamel base with gray marbled veining throughout, creating a distinctive crackled surface pattern. Black Gothic script labels identify their intended contents: Pates (pasta), Sucre (sugar), Epices (spices), and Farine (flour). Red trim accents frame both the rim and lid edges, while white ceramic knobs complete each piece.
The canisters measure 19cm high and 12cm in diameter (7.5" x 4.75"). Despite their age of over 120 years, these French enamel canisters maintain good vintage condition with authentic patina and minor wear consistent with their historical period, adding to their provenance and character.
This complete set appeals to collectors of French antiques, vintage kitchenware enthusiasts, and those seeking authentic bistro decor elements for traditional or contemporary kitchen settings.
