French Educational Vegetation Map Poster

A double-sided French educational vegetation map poster produced by Cooperation Pedagogique Nalliers, based in Vienne, France. Titled "Le Monde Vegetations" (World Vegetation), this is a classroom wall map designed to teach geography and world vegetation zones to school-age students. The format is double-sided, with one face showing the Americas centered on the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, and the reverse showing Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania centered on the Arctic, Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans. This French educational vegetation map poster is a genuine period school teaching aid.

The map uses a clear color-coded system supported by a printed legend (Legende) listing eight vegetation categories: Toundras et vegetation de haute montagne (hatched blue), Forets boreales et de montagne (olive green), Zone de culture temperee (mauve/purple), Cultures mediterraneennes (red), Savanes (light yellow), Steppes (golden yellow), Forets tropicales et equatoriales (dark green), and Deserts (white). Agricultural and mineral resources are annotated directly on the map in French, including Ble (wheat), Boeuf (cattle), Petrole (oil), Caoutchouc (rubber), Cacao, Cafe, Cuivre (copper), and Moutons (sheep), among others. Key geographic lines -- Equateur, Tropique du Cancer, Tropique du Capricorne, and Cercle Polaire Arctique -- are clearly marked. The print is on sturdy paper stock with no mounting.

The poster measures approximately 90cm x 75cm / 35.4" x 29.5". Overall condition is used with age-consistent toning to the paper edges; the printed surface remains clear and legible across both sides.

A functional and graphically direct piece of mid-20th century French school cartography. It suits display in a study, office or educational setting, and appeals to collectors of vintage French pedagogical materials, antique maps, and geography ephemera.
