This set of two vintage French cast iron planters dates from circa 1960 and represents authentic French brocante culture. These substantial conical pots showcase mid-century French metalwork craftsmanship and may have originally served as molds for creating terracotta planters before finding their own decorative purpose.

Each planter displays a weathered patina in rich brown and blue tones, showing decades of natural aging that enhances their rustic character. The thick cast iron construction demonstrates the quality typical of French industrial design, with clean conical lines that taper from rim to base. The natural oxidation creates attractive color variations across the surface.

Standing approximately 8cm (3.1 inches) high and weighing 650 grams each, these planters show their solid construction and authentic vintage provenance.
