A Christofle silverplate oval platter from France, produced by one of the country's most recognized silversmiths. The back of the platter bears stamped markings consistent with Christofle production, including what appears to be a maker's hallmark and the model number 2037168 clearly struck into the metal. Christofle has been producing silver-plated tableware for professional and domestic use since the mid-19th century, and this type of oval serving platter was a standard item in French hotel and restaurant service.

The platter is formed in a classic oval shape with a raised rim and a slightly recessed well, a profile typical of French gastronomic service ware. The surface shows the silver-plated finish characteristic of Christofle's professional line. Visible wear includes surface scratches across the well and rim, consistent with years of active use in a catering or hospitality context.
