An antique Spanish stoneware pot dating to the 19th century, this round-bodied vessel shows the honest wear and natural patina accumulated over more than a century of use. The antique Spanish stoneware pot belongs to a long tradition of utilitarian earthenware production across the Iberian Peninsula, where such forms were wheel-thrown for domestic storage of dry goods, oils, or preserved foods.

The exterior surface is unglazed and presents a pale beige ground heavily weathered with patches of green algae and moss growth, along with scattered dark mineral deposits and surface pitting. These marks are the direct result of outdoor or damp-storage use over many decades. The body is wide and ovoid, narrowing toward a modest footed base and tapering again toward a simple rolled rim at the opening. No handles are present. The interior shows residual dark staining consistent with long-term storage use. No maker's mark or stamp is visible in the photos. No cracks or structural repairs are apparent, though the surface shows the expected abrasion of age.

Dimensions as stated by the seller: 20.5cm wide x 24cm tall, with an opening of 13.5cm / approximately 8.1" wide x 9.4" tall, with a 5.3" opening diameter. These are solid, substantial proportions giving the pot a strong presence on a shelf or tabletop.

This antique Spanish stoneware pot suits interiors drawn to raw, aged materials — farmhouse, rustic, or wabi-sabi decorating styles.
