A footed antique French soup tureen in white glazed ceramic, consistent with French faience production from the late 19th to early 20th century. The all-white glaze, oval form, pedestal base, and vegetable finial are all hallmarks of the classic French soup tureen form widely produced across regional French potteries of that era. The antique French soup tureen retains its original lid.

The lid is topped with a sculpted artichoke finial, with visible leaf relief decoration radiating outward from the base of the knob. The handles on either side of the bowl are modeled in a faux-bamboo style, a decorative motif common in French ceramics of the 19th century. The glaze is a warm off-white throughout, applied evenly with a glossy finish. Close inspection of one photo reveals a small chip or glaze loss on the lower body of the tureen near the foot, with some surface dirt accumulation in that area. This is noted honestly for prospective buyers. The lid shows some light surface soiling consistent with age and use. No visible cracks or repairs are observed beyond the noted chip.
