Produced by the Faïenceries de Longwy, one of the most established French ceramic manufacturers operating from the Lorraine region since 1798, this footed serving bowl carries the printed mark "Longwy Mignon" on the base, confirming its origin and model line. The French Longwy Pottery Bowl dates to the late 19th or early 20th century, a period during which Longwy produced high volumes of transfer-printed earthenware for everyday domestic use.

The bowl is glazed in an off-white cream ground and decorated with a blue-grey transfer-printed floral decor featuring botanical sprays, rose branches, berries, fern-like foliage, and small perching birds. The motif appears both on the exterior sides and across the interior surface, creating a consistent decorative scheme. The footed base is plain and rounded, typical of the Mignon service line. The glaze shows the characteristic crazing and minor age spots consistent with antique French earthenware. No chips or cracks are visible in the photos, though some surface dirt is present around the foot rim, as seen in the base photograph. The number "8" stamped in blue under the base likely indicates a size or mold reference.
