A substantial antique French bread board of the type used daily in French farmhouse and boulangerie kitchens from the 19th into the early 20th century. This antique French bread board displays the classic silhouette associated with provincial French culinary tradition: a wide rectangular cutting surface topped by a raised arched handle section with a carved oval finger hole for hanging or carrying.

The board is hewn from a single thick plank of hardwood, now aged to a weathered grey-brown tone throughout. Both faces show extensive use: deep knife marks, surface scratches, and grain separation from decades of work. The handle area has developed natural cracks along the wood grain, consistent with age and drying over time. Small worm holes are visible across the surface, particularly on the second face shown, confirming genuine age rather than artificial distressing.
